English: Do you have coffee or tea?
French: Avez-vous du café ou du thé?
Café=coffee
Thé=tea
This is one way passengers may ask you what sort of drinks you have to offer. Notice in French, we need to say "do you have some coffee or some tea."
Du café=some coffee
Ou du thé=or some tea
Likewise, they can also ask "avez-vous du jus de canneberge?" or "avez-vous du jus de tomate?" Do you have (some) cranberry juice? Do you have (some) tomato juice?
